As an Assistant Manager, Family Office Bookkeeping and Investment Reporting, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of KPMG’s Family Office practice. You will oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and investment transaction processing for a portfolio of Family Office clients (personal and corporate structures), while acting as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders. You will coordinate workflow across client files, review work for quality, coach junior team members, and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting. Your responsibilities will include: •Lead day-to-day delivery of bookkeeping and investment transaction processing across multiple Family Office clients, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. •Own the workflow and deadlines for assigned client files (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles), coordinating priorities across the team. •Oversee transaction processing and data feeds: •Monitor and validate investment transactions received through data feeds. •Coordinate alternative upload processes when feeds are unavailable and ensure completeness of supporting documentation. •Review and quality-control key deliverables, including: •Bank and investment reconciliations. •Working papers and supporting schedules. •Interim and annual trial balances and financial statements (when required). •Act as a day-to-day point of contact for internal stakeholders and possibly for clients: •Manage professional follow-ups, respond to routine questions, and escalate complex issues appropriately. •Coordinate required approvals and formal documentation (“papering”) for transactions. •Support investment reporting: •Collect and summarize account information for reporting purposes. •Review and finalize quarterly investment reports, when required. •Coach and develop junior team members by reviewing work, providing feedback, and training on templates, tools, and standard processes. •Drive continuous improvement by enhancing checklists, standard workpapers, and workflows; contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives (especially in Excel and reporting tools). •Maintain strong file hygiene and documentation standards to support accurate, consistent, and audit-ready client records. This role is for you if you have the below Educational qualifications •Post-secondary degree in accounting taxation, or a related field. Mandatory technical & functional skills •Four to six years of progressive experience in bookkeeping/accounting operations, preferably within an accounting firm, Family Office, or investment environment. •Strong understanding of the accounting cycle, balance sheet reconciliations, and documentation standards. •Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation, reporting models). •Experience with Eton Solutions (Atlas) and/or similar investment bookkeeping/reporting platforms (for example, Addepar). •Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain high quality under pressure. •Strong communication skills and professionalism, with comfort providing guidance and feedback to others.
