About the role

In this role, you will join a team of engineering analysts dedicated to protecting Google accounts and products from compromise, scaled abuse and emerging threats. You will be at the cross-road of cyber-security and AI, designing and implementing abuse prevention mechanisms. You will play a key part in a fast-paced environment where you'll have the chance to apply your analytical and technical skills to complex problems at a global scale. You will be a proactive and motivated individual who is passionate about problem-solving and has a knack for quickly adapting to new technologies. You will have the ability to identify and solve complex, large-scale problems, and learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing landscape. You will also have strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a global, cross-functional, and team-oriented environment. - Use large-scale data analysis to discover and understand how attackers are compromising Google accounts or are creating and using them for abuse, identifying weak points in our systems.  - Develop and deploy policies and interventions within Google's sign-up, sign-in, and reAuth flows to prevent unauthorized access and account abuse, balancing security, and user experience. - Design and execute experiments (e.g., A/B tests) to quantitatively measure the impact of our new policies, features, and challenges on abuse reduction and user friction. - Evolve our interventions for better detection and automation. Identify opportunities to integrate LLM capabilities and agentic tools to automate tasks. - Partner with the broader team, Product Management and Engineering to identify, prioritize and develop strategies against the most pressing and novel threats. Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data. - 2 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
