Learn more about: Customer   Key Responsibilities:   We are hiring an AEM Backend Consultant to contribute to backend development and support for AEM as a Cloud Service solution. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Java and AEM backend development, with exposure to AEM Assets, workflows, and integrations.   - Develop and maintain backend features in AEM using Sling, OSGi, servlets, and AEM standards. - Support implementation of AEM Assets capabilities: metadata updates, workflow steps, asset ingestion support, and permissions. - Build and consume integrations via REST APIs; collaborate with external system teams. - Assist in deployment of readiness and support activities for AEM Cloud releases (Cloud Manager for pipeline support). - Write unit tests, support code reviews, and fix defects identified by QA/UAT. - Troubleshoot backend issues: logs, performance, dependency issues, and environment configuration. - Contribute to documentation (tech specs, runbooks, SOPs).   Required Skills & Experience:   - 3–6 years overall experience; 2–4 years AEM backend experience. - Strong foundation in Java, OOP, and backend concepts. - Working knowledge of Sling, OSGi, JCR, and AEM permissions. - Familiar with AEM as a Cloud Service deployment concepts and constraints. - Basic knowledge of AEM Assets (metadata, workflows, tagging). - Basic experience with Content Fragments / Headless Delivery. - Familiarity with Git, Maven, build pipelines. - Testing exposure: JUnit/Mockito; ability to write maintainable unit tests.   Location and way of working:   - Base location: Bengaluru - Education: Professional Qualification - B.E./B.
