Learn more about ET&P   Your work profile - Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of SAP ABAP solutions.  - Manage end-to-end delivery of RICEFW objects, including: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows  - Work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, architects, and integration teams to understand requirements and define appropriate technical solutions.  - Review functional specifications and provide technical feasibility assessments, effort estimates, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.  - Prepare and review technical specifications, solution designs, development standards, test evidence, deployment plans, and support documentation.  - Lead technical design workshops and provide recommendations on SAP development approaches.  - Allocate work across the development team and track deliverables against project plans and milestones.  - Manage technical delivery across implementation, rollout, upgrade, migration, enhancement, and production-support engagements.  - Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards, security guidelines, performance standards, and project-specific quality requirements.  - Ensure appropriate unit testing, peer reviews, defect resolution, and technical validation before deployment.  - Provide technical leadership for complex developments, production issues, performance problems, and integration challenges.  - Manage technical risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations, and communicate them proactively to project leadership.  - Coordinate with onsite, offshore, client, functional, basis, security, integration, and infrastructure teams.  - Support release planning, transport management, cutover activities, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization.  - Monitor team productivity, quality, utilization, and delivery performance.  - Mentor junior consultants and senior consultants and support their technical and professional development.  - Participate in project planning, resource planning, estimation, proposal development, solutioning, and client presentations.  - Identify opportunities for automation, reusable assets, process improvement, and technical innovation.  - Ensure that the technical solution complies with applicable regulatory, audit, validation, and documentation requirements.  Key skills required - 10–15 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including experience in a technical lead or managerial role.  - Strong hands-on experience in developing and managing RICEFW objects.  - Extensive knowledge of ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, modularization techniques, function modules, and object-oriented ABAP.  - Strong experience with classical reports, interactive reports, ALV reports, and custom applications.  - Experience with interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, proxies, web services, and file-based integration.  - Experience with conversion and migration techniques using BDC, LSMW, BAPIs, migration programs, and custom tools.  - Strong knowledge of enhancement techniques, including BAdIs, user exits, customer exits, enhancement spots, and implicit and explicit enhancements.  - Experience with Smart Forms, SAPscript, Adobe Forms, and output-management solutions.  - Experience with SAP Business Workflow or Flexible Workflow.  - Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and performance-optimization skills.  - Experience in reviewing technical designs, code quality, performance, security, and development standards.  - Experience in technical estimation, planning, work allocation, delivery tracking, and risk management.  - Proven ability to manage technical teams and deliver solutions across geographically distributed teams.  - Strong client-facing, stakeholder-management, presentation, and communication skills.  - Ability to manage multiple priorities, workstreams, and deliverables in a complex project environment.  - Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, conversion, or support projects.  - Experience with CDS views, AMDP, OData services, SAP Gateway, and ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse.  - Understanding of SAP Fiori architecture and backend development for Fiori applications.  - Knowledge of RAP, SAP BTP, side-by-side extensibility, and modern SAP development approaches.  - Understanding of SAP clean-core principles and extensibility guidelines.  - Experience with SAP HANA performance optimization and code pushdown techniques.  - Exposure to integration platforms such as SAP Integration Suite or SAP Process Integration/Process Orchestration.  - Experience with Agile, SAP Activate, DevOps, continuous integration, and automated testing practices.  - Experience in estimation, proposal preparation, solution presentations, and pre-sales activities.  - SAP certification in ABAP, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, or a related area is preferred.  - Strong technical leadership and decision-making capabilities.  - Ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP technical solutions.  - Strong ownership and accountability for technical delivery.  - Ability to manage teams, stakeholders, risks, timelines, and competing priorities.  - Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.  - Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.  - Ability to coach, mentor, motivate, and develop team members.  - Proactive approach to identifying delivery risks and implementing corrective actions.  - Commitment to quality, compliance, documentation, and continuous improvement.  - Graduate Degree (Science or Engineering) B.SC (IT), B.SC (Computer Science), BE/BTech or MBA in a related discipline. - Relevant SAP certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
