About the role

Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Automation Testing QA Consultant who brings a balanced mix of automation expertise and strong functional testing knowledge. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust test automation frameworks while also actively contributing to manual and exploratory testing. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks and scripts - Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing  - Analyze business requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases - Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure quality at every stage of SDLC - Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects - Perform manual testing where automation is not feasible - Participate in test planning, estimation, and risk assessment - Track and report defects using standard tools and ensure timely closure - Ensure test coverage, traceability, and adherence to QA standards - Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing - Leverage and adopt AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve productivity and code quality Must-Have Skills Automation Testing - Strong experience in tools such as: Selenium WebDriver / Cypress / Playwright - Proficiency in programming languages: Java / Python / JavaScript - Experience with Test Frameworks: TestNG / JUnit / Mocha / PyTest - Experience in API Automation: REST Assured / Postman / Karate - Knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps Functional Testing - Strong understanding of: Test case design techniques (boundary value, equivalence partitioning, etc.) - Experience in: Smoke, Sanity, Regression, UAT support - Ability to understand and validate business workflows and user journeys - Hands-on experience in defect management tools: JIRA / Azure DevOps Good to Have - Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow) - Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) - Knowledge of mobile testing (Appium) - Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) - Understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies Soft Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and stakeholder management - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment - Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset  -
