Director | Managed Analytics, AI Services & DEX | Bengaluru | NAT : Innovation • Job requisition ID : 110168  • Location: Bengaluru • Entity: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP  Key Responsibilities - Engineering Leadership: Build, lead, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across multiple product domains. - Engineering Culture: Establish a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Engineering Strategy: Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with product vision and business objectives. - Engineering Practices: Drive adoption of cloud-native, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure as Code, and modern engineering practices. - Product Delivery: Own end-to-end engineering delivery and ensure predictable, high-quality, and timely product releases. - Product Partnership: Partner with Product Management to align engineering execution with business priorities and customer outcomes. - AI-Augmented Engineering: Drive adoption of AI-powered tools across development, testing, architecture, operations, documentation, and engineering workflows. - AI Governance: Establish secure, responsible, and effective AI-assisted engineering practices. - Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction across distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud platforms, scalability, resilience, security, and observability. - Platform Engineering: Build scalable engineering platforms and improve developer productivity, automation, reliability, and operational efficiency. - Engineering Metrics: Define and track engineering productivity, delivery, quality, reliability, security, and operational metrics. - Engineering Governance: Establish engineering standards, architecture practices, technical governance, and reporting mechanisms. - Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product, Architecture, UX, Data, QA, DevOps, Security, Business, and Operations teams. - Engineering Transformation: Lead initiatives to modernize technology, processes, engineering practices, and organizational capabilities. - People Development: Develop engineering managers, architects, and technical leaders and create strong career growth pathways. - Business Alignment: Balance technical excellence, customer needs, delivery commitments, cost, security, and business priorities. Required Skills - Engineering Leadership: Strong experience leading large software engineering organizations and multiple product teams. - Architecture: Strong knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, cloud-native platforms, and API-first design. - Programming: Strong coding knowledge in Java, Golang, Rust, or another high-level programming language. - Cloud & DevOps: Strong understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code. - Agile: Experience building engineering organizations using Agile and modern product engineering practices. - Transformation: Proven experience leading engineering transformation initiatives. - AI Engineering: Experience implementing AI-assisted software development and developer productivity practices. - Team Scaling: Experience building and scaling engineering teams across multiple product domains. - Leadership: Excellent people leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. - Business Acumen: Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities and customer outcomes.
