Learn more about ET&P SAP PP/VC Consultant (Production Planning & Variant Configuration) Experience: 8-12+ Years Your work profile - Lead end-to-end implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects for SAP Production Planning (PP) and Variant Configuration (VC). - Design and implement SAP Variant Configuration solutions for configurable products based on business and manufacturing requirements. - Configure and maintain VC objects including Characteristics, Classes, Dependencies, Variant Functions, Variant Tables, and Configuration Profiles. - Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into scalable SAP manufacturing solutions. - Configure and support core SAP PP processes including Material Master, Work Centers, Routings, Bills of Material (BOM), Production Versions, and Production Resources/Tools (PRT). - Drive integration of SAP PP and VC with SD, MM, QM, PM, and other SAP modules to enable seamless business processes. - Collaborate with ABAP and technical teams for custom developments, enhancements, interfaces, reports, and forms. - Conduct Fit-to-Standard workshops, process design sessions, solution reviews, and user training programs. - Prepare functional specifications and support development, testing, and deployment activities. - Lead SIT, UAT, Cutover, Go-Live, and Hypercare activities for PP/VC implementations. - Support issue resolution, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations. Key skills required - SAP Production Planning (PP) - SAP Variant Configuration (VC) - Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) Knowledge - Characteristics & Class Management - Dependencies, Variant Functions & Variant Tables - Configuration Profiles - Material Master Configuration - Bills of Material (BOM) - Routings & Work Centers - Production Versions - Production Resources/Tools (PRT) - Make-to-Order (MTO) & Configure-to-Order (CTO) Processes - Manufacturing Process Design - SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing - Integration with SAP SD, MM, QM, PM - Functional Specifications (RICEFW) - Testing (SIT/UAT) - Cutover & Go-Live Support - Stakeholder Management & Business Analysis Education - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. - MBA Operations, Supply Chain Management, or relevant advanced qualifications will be an added advantage. - SAP PP and/or SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing Certification preferred. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills - Experience in SAP S/4HANA PP and Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC). - Multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects in manufacturing environments. - Experience with Configure-to-Order (CTO), Engineer-to-Order (ETO), and Make-to-Order (MTO) business processes. - Knowledge of Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS). - Experience with SAP Digital Manufacturing, MES integrations, or Industry 4.0 initiatives. - Exposure to SAP Fiori applications and Embedded Analytics. - Strong understanding of manufacturing best practices and process optimization. - Experience working with global delivery and cross-functional teams.
