About the role

Your Role - Perform end-to-end testing and validation of device drivers with a strong focus on Modbus-based communication systems across Windows and Linux platforms. - Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on functional, technical, and protocol specifications. - Validate driver installation, configuration, upgrades, rollbacks, compatibility, and interoperability scenarios. - Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and protocol-level testing to ensure product quality and reliability. - Analyse logs, system traces, communication packets, and crash dumps to identify root causes and support issue resolution. - Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla. - Work closely with development, hardware, and product teams to reproduce issues and drive timely fixes. - Support automation initiatives using Playwright and contribute to API and system-level validation activities where applicable. Your Profile - 6-9 years of experience in Device Driver Testing, Firmware Testing, or System Software Testing. - Strong hands-on experience in Device Driver Testing and Modbus protocol testing, including validation of communication and interoperability scenarios. - Solid understanding of Manual Testing concepts, Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and defect management processes. - Experience testing drivers and system-level software on Windows and Linux operating systems. - Good understanding of driver architecture, hardware interfaces, and industrial communication protocols. - Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla. - Exposure to Playwright using JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation and functional validation. - Working knowledge of API testing concepts and tools. - Familiarity with Git version control systems. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
