Project Role : Cloud Operations Engineer

Project Role Description : Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure environment and/or applications through cross-technology administration (OS, databases, virtual networks), scripting, and monitoring automation execution. Manage incidents with a focus on service restoration. Act as operations support for all compute, network, storage, security, or automation incidents /requests. Manage rollout of patches and release management schedule and implementation.

Summary:

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, a typical day involves overseeing and managing the cloud infrastructure environment by handling various technologies such as operating systems, databases, and virtual networks. The role includes executing scripts and automating monitoring processes to ensure smooth operations. Throughout the day, the engineer addresses incidents related to the environment with a primary focus on restoring services promptly. Additionally, the role requires providing operational support for a wide range of incidents and requests involving computing, networking, storage, security, and automation components, ensuring the overall stability and efficiency of the cloud infrastructure.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.

- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.

- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud infrastructure performance and reliability.

- Continuously monitor system health and proactively identify potential issues to minimize downtime.

- Document operational procedures and incident resolutions to support knowledge sharing within the team.

- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.

Professional & Technical Skills:

- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure PaaS, Microsoft Azure DevOps.

- Experience with cloud infrastructure management including operating systems, databases, and virtual networks.

- Strong skills in scripting and automation to streamline monitoring and operational tasks.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to cloud services and infrastructure components.

- Familiarity with security best practices and implementation within cloud environments.

- Knowledge of service restoration processes and incident management frameworks.

Additional Information:

- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Azure PaaS.

- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.

- A 15 years full time education is required.
