Summary

As an Integration Engineer specializing in Axway API Management, you will design, develop, configure, and support API-based integration solutions that enable secure communication between enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and external systems. The role requires strong expertise in API management, integration patterns, security protocols, and middleware technologies to build scalable, reliable, and efficient connectivity solutions.

The engineer will collaborate with development teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver effective API integrations that support data exchange, automation, application connectivity, and digital transformation initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and collaborate with teams to deliver effective integration solutions.

2. Own technical decisions related to API integration design, development, configuration, and implementation.

3. Collaborate with multiple teams and contribute to key integration and architecture decisions.

4. Provide solutions to complex integration challenges across immediate and cross-functional teams.

5. Design, develop, configure, and maintain API integrations using Axway API Management solutions.

6. Develop and manage REST/SOAP API integrations, API policies, routing configurations, security settings, and data transformations.

7. Configure and support Axway API Gateway components to enable secure and reliable API communication.

8. Implement API lifecycle management processes, including API publishing, monitoring, versioning, governance, and support.

9. Troubleshoot API failures, connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.

10. Collaborate with application teams, cloud teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful integration delivery.

11. Implement improvements to enhance API performance, reliability, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.

12. Mentor junior team members on API integration concepts, Axway tools, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.

Professional & Technical Skills

1. Must-have skill: Strong proficiency in Axway API Management and API Integration.

2. Extensive experience with Axway API Gateway, API Manager, and API lifecycle management.

3. Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP-based APIs.

4. Strong understanding of API security concepts, including authentication, authorization, OAuth, digital certificates, and encryption.

5. Experience with API policies, transformations, routing, mediation, and service orchestration.

6. Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, middleware concepts, and cloud integration architectures.

7. Ability to troubleshoot API issues, analyze logs, and optimize API performance.

8. Experience working with JSON, XML, XML schemas, HTTP protocols, and web services.

9. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, SDLC processes, version control, and deployment practices.

10. Knowledge of API monitoring, governance, and operational support processes.

Additional Information

1. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Axway API Management Platform.

2. This position is based at the Hyderabad office.

3. A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
