Your Work Profile
The Senior Backend Engineering Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions for enterprise applications.
The role involves leading backend development initiatives, driving architecture decisions, implementing cloud-native solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical applications.
The candidate will play a key role in ensuring engineering excellence, application security, scalability, and operational reliability across the technology ecosystem.
Key Skills Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
12–15 years of professional experience in backend software development.
Advanced proficiency in .NET, C#, Azure Functions, Microservices Architecture, Containerization, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs; GraphQL experience is a significant advantage.
Experience integrating backend services with mobile application frameworks such as Xamarin, Flutter, or React Native.
Hands-on experience with Azure API Management and Azure DevOps pipelines.
Solid understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and ISO 27001 security practices.
Experience building distributed systems, asynchronous processing frameworks, and event-driven architectures.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with architects, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Base location: Chennai.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms.
Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and API governance frameworks.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure, DevOps, or Solution Architecture are preferred.
Experience working in large-scale enterprise digital transformation programs.
