Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

Job Title Senior Consultant – Tax Technology & GenAI Solutions Function: Tax Technology Transformation (TTT) Location: Bangalore/ Pune (4 days working from office) Role Overview This role is intended for a Chartered Accountant with a strong background in tax advisory or litigation, who is interested in working at the intersection of tax practice and AI enabled solutions. The role focuses on applying tax reasoning, professional judgment, and compliance first thinking to the design, evaluation, and scaling of AI supported tax solutions. The individual will work closely with tax teams, technology teams, and product stakeholders to ensure AI outputs are accurate, defensible, and aligned with real tax practice, without compromising professional standards. This is not a core technology development role and not a pure tax execution role. It is a tax first role with AI enablement exposure. ________________________________________ What You Will Do Tax Advisory & Legal Reasoning

Apply Indian Income tax law, rules, circulars, instructions, and case law to AI supported tax workflows

Structure tax issues using issue based / IRAC style legal reasoning

Review AI assisted tax outputs for: o Statutory accuracy o Professional defensibility o Practical advisory relevance

Ensure outputs align with real world tax advisory and litigation standards You will not be ultimately signing off on this – but should be able to do initial checks on these concepts and pass on the insights to tax experts and give suggestions to developers before passing on the output for sign off. AI Enablement & Evaluation

Work with AI and product teams to ensure tax logic and legal reasoning are correctly reflected in AI supported solutions

Review and evaluate AI outputs for: o Legal correctness o Completeness o Risk of misinterpretation or hallucination

Support refinement of AI usage through structured feedback and evaluation

Apply judgment on where AI can assist vs where human review is mandatory Product & Solution Support

Contribute tax practice inputs into AI solution design and enhancement discussions

Translate practitioner pain points into clear functional requirements

Support pilots, user feedback cycles, and controlled rollouts of AI enabled solutions

Ensure consistency of tax logic and tone across AI outputs Knowledge & Content Governance

Support use of tax knowledge assets (case laws, guidance, submissions, orders) within AI enabled platforms

Apply discipline around: o Source reliability o Contextual relevance o Currency and applicability

Support governance expectations around accuracy and traceability Stakeholder & Capability Enablement

Work with internal tax teams, leadership, and technology stakeholders

Support: o Internal demos o Training sessions o Practitioner facing explanations of AI enabled workflows

Document best practices, evaluation approaches, and learnings Mandatory Experience (Non Negotiable) Candidates must have:

CA qualification (or equivalent); strong preference for qualified CAs

3–6 years of experience in tax advisory and/or tax litigation

Prior experience in Big 4, large CA firms, or reputed tax advisory practices

Hands on exposure to: o Tax notices o Submissions o Assessments o Appellate or litigation related work This role requires thinking like a practicing tax professional. AI & Technology Expectations (Baseline, Not Deep Tech)

Good working understanding of AI / Generative AI concepts

Ability to: o Critically evaluate AI outputs o Identify legal and professional risks o Apply judgment instead of blind reliance

Comfort working with AI assisted tools in a professional services environment

Awareness of governance, review, and control expectations in AI usage Deep coding or system design experience is not required. Skills Required Core

Strong grounding in Indian Income tax law and tax practice workflows

Excellent analytical and structuring skills

High attention to accuracy and defensibility

Strong drafting and review capability (professional tone)

Comfort with evolving, ambiguous problem statements Tools

Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

A CA from tax advisory or litigation looking to move into tax technology enablement

To qualify for the role you must have

Qualification

Chartered Accountant / Semi qualified CA

Experience

CA - 2-3 years, Semi qualified 5-8 years
