We are looking for a CAD Design Engineer/Lead to drive multi-discipline CAD migration projects — converting various native CAD formats into Autodesk Inventor. This role requires strong technical ownership across weldment, mechanical, piping, and electrical/routing conversions (including EPLAN-related activities), along with the ability to directly interface with US-based customers for requirement discussions, status updates, and issue resolution.
Lead end-to-end CAD conversion of weldment, mechanical, piping, and electrical components/routings into Autodesk Inventor.
Own technical planning, work allocation, and quality benchmarking for the conversion team.
Interface directly with US customers to gather requirements, clarify design intent, present progress, and resolve technical queries.
Define/refine conversion methodology, templates, and standards for consistent output quality.
Review team output, mentor junior engineers, and drive first-time-right conversion quality.
Coordinate with EPLAN/electrical design teams for schematic-to-3D routing alignment.
Manage project timelines, risk escalation, and status reporting to stakeholders.
Strong hands-on expertise in Autodesk Inventor and multiple native CAD platforms (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, etc.)
Proven experience in weldment/sheet metal design, piping systems, and electrical/routing design.
Working knowledge of EPLAN for electrical schematic-to-mechanical integration.
Solid understanding of GD&T, BOM management, and engineering documentation standards.
Prior experience in CAD data migration/conversion projects preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to front-face US clients confidently.
Strong problem-solving, ownership, and team-handling capability.
Experience working in client-facing roles or onshore-offshore delivery models.
Flexibility to work in shifts aligned with US business hours.
